Anghiari is a beautiful medieval village that overlooks the high Tevere river Valley, on the border between Tuscany and Umbria. Anghiari was very important with its strategic position and inviolable thanks to its powerful walls of XIII century After the battle of 29 June 1440, celebrated in the famous Leonardo's painting, object of research even today, Anghiari beacame faithful alley of Florence. The very first contact with the village is with its “main street” of XIV century, that links Sansepolcro to Anghiari. It gives a unique view on the Valley and is the excellent balance between the medieval village and its XVIII-XIX parts.
